On February 13, 2024, KAYA Press announced Alan Nakagawa as their first ever Artist-in-Residence in conjunction with their thirtieth anniversary as a progressive literary publisher documenting the Asian Diaspora and Asian American experience. LINK
At their 2023 Tokyo exhibition, the original sticker I designed sold out. TGT asked if I would make more so I decided to redesign it slightly with my website and a shout out to TGT, the font is different, handmade and I hope they sell this one out too. That would be awesome. link

Nakagawa gives an audio walking tour between Hollywood and Downtown LA Civic Center, mapping LA through time by recalling his academic trajectory from the 1970’s through the 1990’s. The Audio Tour was based on an interview of Nakagawa and then edited by Justin Asher. Additional audio tours in this series are of Sebastian Hernandez, Maryam Hosseinzadeh, Isaac Michael Ybarra and Carmen Argote. link
